Diese und 2 andere Karten habe ich bekommen durch den art2mail swap. Ist das nicht fantastisch? Sie heisst Eissturm...es sieht wirklich so aus, also ob die gesamte Landschaft eine Eiskruste hat...genauso wie am fruehen morgen die Autoscheiben glasig vereist sind...tolle Technik.
I received this one and 2 more cards thru art2mail swap. It is fantastic, isnt'it? The card's name is Ice Storm..it really looks as if the entire landscape is covered by a thick crust of ice...like the windshields in the early morning are covered by glassy ice...amazing technique.
This card arrived from Cynthia Payne. She used a Hawaiian batik fabric and stamped/emprinted it with beautiful turtles and patterns. In addition she gave them rhinestone eyes...which comes close to how they look in nature. I appreciate a lot of her idea to pinky cut the the edges so that the fabric cannot fray. Some smart alternative to satin stitching or zigzaggin around. The colors are just terrific.
Diese Karte kam von Cynthia Payne. Sie hat einen Batikstoff aus Hawaii benutzt und diesen mit wunderschoenen Schildkroeten und Mustern bestempelt/bedruckt. Zusaetzlich gab sie ihnen Glitzersteinaugen...was dem Aussehen in Natur sehr nahe kommt. Ich begruesse ihre Idee, die Raender mit einer Zickzackkante zu schneiden. Auf diese Weise kann das ganze nicht ausfransen. Eine kluge Alternative zum Knopflochstich oder herumzickzacken. Die Farben sind wirklich klasse.
Als Letztes die Karte von Judy Spencer. Ich stehe ja total auf so verspielte Kunstwerke. Eine in lila verschleierte Koenigin ueber Alles. Einfach sagenhaft! Ich moechte allen Kartenkuenstlerinnen ganz herzlich danken. Mein Herz macht immer Huepfer, wenn ich diese Kostbarkeiten in meinem Briefkasten finde.
Last not least the card from Judy Spencer. I really fall for those playful art pieces. A veiled queen of everything. Simply legendary!
I would like to thank all you postcard artist very much. My heart is really jumping when I find these precious things in my mailbox.
