Ein sehr grosses Vorhaben, im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes...meine sogenannte eat-in-kitchen ist 6,6m x 4m...und nicht so besonders modern. Ich habe bereits vom Vorbesitzer die blauen Schraenke uebernommen. Nun wird gemalt, geschliffen, wieder gemalt, gesprueht und was vorher so aussieht
wird hoffentlich in Gaenze bald so

aussehen. Mein Sohn David hat unterdessen die Decke und einen grossen Teil der Waende gestrichen. Da neue Kuechenschraenke nicht im Budget sind wird eben mit Farbe, neuen Griffen und dem Bespruehen der Scharniere (vorher Messing) mit Edelstahl-look-Farbe ein frischer Wind in die Kueche geblasen.Die scheusslichen Kunstholz-Arbeitsplatten werde ich auch erneuern. Habe mich allerdings noch nicht entschieden wie...
We started tackling the big project....There is this old German song...Wochenend und Sonnenschein (weekend and sunshine) and the weather in New Jersey was like that; so we started renovating our kitchen. A really big project literally, because my so called eat-in-kitchen is very large 22'x13' and a little dated. The previous owner left the blue cabinetry. Now we will be priming, sanding, painting again, spraying and what did look like this...will soon entirely look like that.
While I was busy with the cabinets, my son David finished painting the ceiling and most of the wall space. I could not afford to buy new cabinets, therefore we blow some fresh wind into this kitchen using paint, new handles, and spraying the brass hardware with stainless steel look metal paint. I also will replace the hidious countertops. However, I have not decided yet how.
In the meantime I also received tons of new postcards from the art2mail swap. Thanks a lot to all the wonderful makers of those:

WOW! Die Küche wird ja klasse, das bringt mich auf Ideen! Meine hätte es auch mal nötig, vielleicht lasse ich mir ja auch was farbiges einfallen!
